Certified Inpatient Coding Program CIC™/CCS™

Upon successful completion of the program, students should have the necessary skills and knowledge in ICD-10 PCS, use of all inpatient volumes, appendices, sections and guidelines of the diagnostic and procedure coding books. Students should understand inpatient coding compliance rules, understand DRG coding systems and understand all components of the medical record.

Graduates of this program may find potential careers in billing offices, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities or as 3rd party administrators, consultants, coders, auditors and can often work from home.
