Who We Are

In 2003 Medical Administrative Careers - Educations Center (MAC-Ed) was established as an on-site educational facility nestled in an office park in North Atlanta, GA.
Owed to great success and students demand, in 2004, MAC-Ed was granted accreditation through the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) as an approved facility in the State of Georgia.
Due to the industry’s growing demand for diverse and experienced coding consultants, the founder, Latitia Brooks expanded into the realms of revenue cycle management and remote coding. In 2008, Medical Administrative Consulting, Inc (MAC Inc) was established.
With the influx of online technology, MAC-Ed was relinquished as an onsite facility and in 2016 redeveloped into its online subsidiary, Medical Academy of Coding Professionals, Inc (MAC Pro).
MAC Pro is designed to teach compliant coding knowledge to both novice and skilled coding professionals, those that desire a new career as well as those that desire career advancement.
Our courses are designed to enhance a student’s potential for success on the certification exam. Our students received the benefit of online group forums, practice timed certification exams, weekly webinars, live and prerecorded video conferences.
The founder and coding guru herself, Ms. Brooks is an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 CM/PCS trainer as well as an PMCC licensed Certified Professional Coding Instructor (CPC-I) through AAPC.
